Former Booking.com leader joins Serko to drive business impact from data

Serko announced today the appointment of Matt Weaver as Head of Data. In his role as Head of Data, Matt will lead Serko’s data team to deliver data-driven insights that drive business impact.

Serko CEO Darrin Grafton welcomed Matt’s appointment, stating, "We know that the key to our future growth lies in our data. From accelerating customer acquisition to optimization of the customer experience, data science is a critical element to guide our strategy and the prioritization of our resources. Matt’s academic and commercial acumen is going to be a game changer for Serko in this important function."

Matt brings over 10 years of experience in data science and analytics, most recently at Booking.com where he led the Central Marketing Experimentation Group, responsible for developing and articulating the measurement and experimentation strategy.

Matt shared his reasons for taking the role, commenting “I chose Serko because of their innovative tech product and solid data infrastructure, along with the company guiding principles that resonate with me and my values. I’m excited by the opportunity to scale up Serko’s consumption and utilisation of data to drive impact across the business, and I see massive potential for effective measurement and experimentation to accelerate the product development life cycle.”
