Attracting and winning new customers to our platform is critical to Serko's growth and success. This role is key in driving that success by demonstrating the value and capabilities of our software solutions to potential customers. The Technical Solutions Consultant will work closely with the sales, customer, and product development teams to understand customer needs, tailor solutions, and effectively communicate the technical benefits of our offerings. This collaboration ensures our solutions align with customer requirements and supports sales activities, driving growth and expanding our customer base. 

What you'll get to do

  • Develop a deep understanding of Serko's software solutions, including features, functionalities and underlying technologies to provide sound technical advice and support customers during the implementation process.
  • Collaborate with the channel and sales teams to identify customer needs and provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.
  • Engage in detailed discussions with potential customers to gather requirements, challenges and objectives.
  • Tailor software demonstrations and presentations to align with customer needs, showcasing the most relevant solutions.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on the technical aspects of Serko's software solutions.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to understand the software roadmap, upcoming features and product enhancements.
  • Design and propose comprehensive software solutions that align with customer requirements.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to create high-quality technical documentation, including proposals, presentations, whitepapers and solution architectures to support sales efforts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as a trusted advisor and technical point of contact.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, IT managers and travel buyers to understand their business challenges and needs.
  • Support post-sales activities by coordinating with implementation teams, ensuring a smooth transition from presales to deployment.

What you'll bring

  • Extensive expertise in the Managed Travel software industry, with a strong understanding of its unique challenges and requirements.
  • Proven track record in technical presales or solutions engineering roles within the software industry, delivering successful solutions to meet customer needs.
  • In-depth technical proficiency in software architectures, APIs, database and integration methods, enabling effective solution design and implementation.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with sales operations processes and tools, contributing to seamless collaboration across teams.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management and development to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, industry events and conferences to maintain strong relationships and stay connected with market developments.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.
